Workshop Series
The 50 – 30 Challenge EDI Impact Program
CICan’s KMDC at Sheridan College has designed a series of workshops to support your EDI learning and infrastructure needs. The 50 – 30 Challenge EDI Impact Program includes:
- diagnostic assessments you can use to identify where you are on the journey and what will take you to the next level;
- a roster of relevant tools, templates and examples you’ll be able to put into use right away;
- maximum interaction and collaboration with fellow learners to support a community of practice and enable shared learning through experience in the ‘real world’
Join us in any of our upcoming sessions:
- June 4, 1:00-3:00 EST – Representation in Leadership
Focusing specifically on how to build diversity into your board and senior leadership team, this workshop offers up tools and strategies to enhance your recruitment, onboarding and retention of Indigenous peoples and members of equity-deserving groups.
- June 7, 11:30 – 1:30 EST – EDI Enablers
Rather than focusing on the elements or dimensions of EDI work, this workshop looks at EDI work in any organization from the big picture perspective, as the enormous infrastructure and culture change project that it is. From that perspective, this session focuses on some powerful enablers that can ‘supercharge’ your efforts, no matter where you are in the CICan/Sheridan EDI Maturity Impact Model. Specific areas introduced are project management, change management and the science of behaviour change.
- June 12, 1:00 – 3:00 EST – Inclusive Leadership
Inclusive leadership sets the tone for equity, diversity and inclusion throughout any organization. In this workshop, you’ll explore how to set and reinforce clear expectations for leaders around EDI, discuss how leaders can demonstrate an inclusive approach in their day-to-day work, and how their decision-making can be data-informed from an EDI perspective.
